Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion

Over the long weekend, we ventured up to North Dakota to visit Matt's family, and his whole family was there too! So much fun! A Labor Day tradition is to attended the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag, MN. A boys paradise, for sure!

First we started with a ride on the train (see video)

Stephen and John Paul were just thrilled to ride the train or "Thomas" as Stephen liked to refer to it as.
We also rode a miniature steam train too. Not quite as exciting, but less noisy!
Below is a steam engine threshing the wheat.
And our attempt to get John Paul to stand next to it, look at the camera and say cheese. Too many things at once for one 2 year old. We'll settle for two out of three.
Then off to the Tractor Parade. Grandpa and John Paul were so excited with each tractor that traveled by.
"Look Grandpa! Another tractor!"
John Paul sported his John Deere hat most of the day. He fit right in!
And the massive steam tractors were a big hit too!
Then off to get ice cream. And we're not talking just a little ice cream. My cone had 5 SCOOPS!!
Yummm. Rocky Road.
Jake enjoyed his cracker.
And Ethan too.
Next up, the carousel! Good picture of Colleen and Grandma!
Ethan wasn't the biggest fan although Uncle Nick and Auntie Heather tried hard to make it enjoyable!

Lunch time!!
And one final ride on the train before heading home.
