Fun with Cousins -- Part II

We were able to visit my brother and his family. John Paul picked up Spencer's sun glasses and actually put them on. But he just didn't remain happy while we were trying to gather everyone for a picture. Pictured are Spencer, Claire, JP, Grandma, and Andrew.Cutey Claire and her mom, Heather
Miss Lilly Mae at 2 1/2 months. Isn't she a doll and check out the double dimples!
Here is Ted, Blake, and Lilly. The boys were a little distracted because I was interrupting "little Bill" on the TV for a picture.

Fun with Cousins

This video is just too cute not to post. John Paul loved imitating Ted shaking his head, and you can even see JP's dancing!!

Birthday PAR-TAY

We celebrated John Paul's first birthday, in the same fashion that I did as a kid. Everyone who was able or lived close enough came over for the feast!

It just wouldn't be a party without party hats!
And being able to dig into your own birthday cake.
Mom was really just a distraction from the cake!
Ted loved it too! And took an active roll in "helping" John Paul blow out the candle, which was a good thing because John Paul was really much more interested in diving into the cake than being aware of the fact that a burning flame was sticking out of it.
Again, Ted being helpful in opening presents. He really is a big help for only being 4.

What a cell phone? He has started placing any type of phone to his ear (or other objects for that matter) and pretending to talk on them. Twice, I thought he said "hi". So if you give us a call and all you hear is a "hi" eith hold on and soon enough I will notice or just call back.

We're Back!

I know that I haven't updated in a while and I hope we haven't lost any faithful blog readers, but John Paul and I just returned from a three week rendezvous to Denver and then to Kansas. I'll be posting several pictures of our trip. And here are a few to start us off!

Let's see....there was bath time with Aunt Kristina. (And my parents new sink worked perfectly! There was no way he could stand up in there, but plenty of room to scrub!)

There there was lots of playtime with his cousins. (more pictures to follow) And always remember to have a designated crawler!

CURLS!!!!!

Mom's Valentine's Day surprise from Dad!!!

Then came the day we had to say good-bye to Grandma and Grandpa. It was tearful, and I wish John Paul was feeling a little better when we left.

One Year Old Portraits

Just complaining.

Seriously, why did they have to put shiny silver flush handles on the toilet? Of course a one year old is going to go for the shiny, germ infested, object! I guess we just need a new toilet that has a white handle.......Ah, motherhood.

On a sweeter note--who doesn't like blackberry jam?

Meal Time!

Aren't I pretty?
Wait, Wait. How about now?
Ahhhh, this is a good one.
I am practicing to be a crossing guard.
