Beating the Heat

Saturday was pretty warm so we spent much of the day trying to stay cool. John Paul played a little in our sprinkler, but wasn't too excited about it.

Then we took him to the "beach" along the Hood Canal. I was really disappointed in the "beach" aspect. There was NO SAND! But I guess I should have expected that living in the Pacific Northwest. Most beaches in Washington are rocky like this one. But hey, John Paul loved it. He was content just throwing rocks in and watching them splash. However, Mom and Dad could only stand about 25 minutes of the heat and just watching a 16 month old throw rocks and watching them splash!
