My new 'do!
I did it! I cut my hair and I love it! It really needed a good chop. (I also cut JP's a few days ago, and the curls are now just waves!)

Bath Time Giggles
The boys were having a fun time playing in the tub so I tried to capture the moment. They both have the funniest little giggles!

Tulip Festival
For a fun Spring roadtrip, the boys and I headed up to the Skagit County Tulip Festival. This is one of the activities that EVERY spring I have wanted to do, so it was a major check on my list of things to do before leaving Washington.
The tulips were blooming a little later this year. It has been cold! Many of the Tulip fields were just starting to open. The daffodils were in full bloom. The boys fell asleep after the Kingston ferry, so I enjoyed a nice drive around looking at the different fields.
Finally, I wanted to stop so I woke them up and took them to Tulip Town. This first picture is of all the different rows of tulips they had planted.
Our first attempt at a "family" picture." Well, Ethan was there.
Just smelling the flowers.
We had to dodge many mud puddles to get this picture! We should have brought a change of shoes.
This is my favorite! Definitely will be sent out to Daddy.
Kite flying event
Check out this photographic artistic masterpiece!
Oh, and we HAD to ride the tractor/wagon. John Paul was much more interested in the tractor and the barn than many of the flowers. He kept calling the driver "Papa". We are not in Kansas yet, John Paul.

Ethan's 9 month pictures
I figured I better keep having pictures taken for Ethan since I did it with John Paul. Oh, force me!! Ha!! Actually, I love having the boys' pictures taken so it really was a treat! I knew that I wanted a diaper picture with a yellow duckie for our bathroom to match the 9 month picture of JP. They snapped this one of the boys, but I didn't get any because I just bought some of them together. But I thought it was cute.
Check out our Michelin baby!!!

Well, he left again.
Matt has officially left on his last patrol. It was delayed a few days and we thought we said our final good-byes 4 times, but today it is official. My friend called to let me know that she saw the boat go through the bridge. Anyway, please keep him in your prayers.

Easter Visitors!
We had visitors!! Matt's sister, Kitty, her husband, Blaise, and cousins, Stephen and Jacob, came to visit us from Minneapolis. It was such a treat!
Friday was Stephen's 2nd birthday so we went to the Airport Diner for fish and chips. Blaise is a pilot and has passed his passion of the aircraft onto his son.
The boys enjoyed having playmates!!
Saturday, we headed over to Seattle and of course, took the ferry.
Ethan--just hanging out with Mommy!
Stephen and John Paul kept us (and many passerby's) entertained with their excitement.
Ohhhh, Sail boat!!
We went to eat at one of our favorite places near the market--Pike Place Brewery! Great food and wonderful beer! They even served beer in sippy cups!
Jacob, enjoying his coaster.
After a thorough walk-through of the Market, we stopped for gelato on Pine street.
Stephen is a natural at posing, but I think his parents were exploring their photography skills too!
The big blues of Ethan.
Happy Jacob!! Jake is about 5 weeks younger than Ethan. So both sets of boys are pretty close in age!
Dressed in our Easter best! BTW, they are giving Jake kisses, not eating his head like one might think from the way JP was captured.
Happy Easter!
So for Steve's birthday, I made him an apron and I made one for John Paul as well. But I made it during a nap time and when I tried it on JP for size it was HUGE!!! Even with adjustments, it is still HUGE!! The glasses are from his Easter basket and he seemed to prefer wearing them upside down! I think he looks like a little girl with a halter dress on. He will regret this picture for sure!!
Steve wasn't too sure about wearing it yet. He doesn't like to wear dresses either.
The boys sporting their sunglasses.
EE! Where are you going??
CHEESE!!

We miss our visitors already! Thank you for coming to visit!

On the Go!!
Ethan is officially a crawler! He has a little gimp leg, but his coordination is improving!! ;)
The second one is short, but listen closely. Matt says, "Hey Ethan." And John Paul says "EE, look at Daddy."
