SOLD!

Ode to the House

We sold the house on Santa Maria Lane
It's sad to say we won't see her again.

But oh, the memories she did give
Ones we will remember as long as we live.

Like the cozy fires that warmed our feet
And the dining room where we came to eat.

And the kitchen where meals were prepared
Like the times with friends that we once shared.
How the sun shone so brightly in the morn
And remembering the days in which our children were born.
The backyard that contained countless hours of fun
Memories in the rain, in the snow, and in the sun.
The hot tub was such a nice little treat
And on our back deck pattered many little feet.
We sold our home on Santa Maria Lane
Oh, how sad we won't see her again.
But it is not the house or the rooms or the yard we will remember
It is the photos and friendships and memories we will treasure.
