Road Trip!

Since Grandma and Grandpa are here to visit from Kansas, John Paul and I decided we would show them some of the countryside in Western Washington. We headed north and crossed the Hood Canal bridge. We were there at the perfect moment as we watched the USS Jackson passing through the draw bridge. A rare moment!

We stopped at Crescent Lake for a few pictures. Too cold for swimming!

John Paul was a champ throught the whole trip. He rode in the car VERY well. I think he just loved having someone play with him the WHOLE time. He had Grandma's undivided attention.

We stopped at Rialto Beach for a few pictures of the Pacific and their signature sea stacks.

At the suggestion of the Park Ranger, we continued down the coast and had lunch at the Kalaloch Lodge.

It was a very fun trip, but a lot of driving. We were all ready to be back home!

That second picture is stunning. You should send it in to a photo contest or something! Beautiful blues :)
